There aren’t many stores that sell salt pigs, isn’t that a shame?

Introducing another new piece to our shop, the salt pigs! Pig-shaped Salt Cellars!

A cute and silly way to hold your cooking salt wherever you need it. Use the shiny tongue spoon to scoop it’s contents!

We added a pink, fuzzy, bendy pig tail to the rear for an extra laugh, and one that can be bent without breaking if the jar gets scooted to the back of the counter.

This ceramic pig shaped jar will gulp down salt, spices, sugar, anything you can fit through its gaping mouth.

The pigs are made from two bowls sculpted together on the pottery kick-wheel, and then given hand sculpted features. After a considerable amount of time to dry out the clay, they are fired in the kiln. After the first firing, they are removed, then painted on the glaze. The glaze is the shiny glassy color amidst the red clay.

These ceramic pigs are on the heavier side, ranging from 1-1.75 lbs in weight.

The pigs are made to order, so expect 2-4 weeks for production time. This type of pottery is such that rushing it can lead to explosions in the kiln!

Don’t like pigs? Not everyone can be right, but if there’s another type of animal that you’d like to have as a salt cellar, we can make it!
